Friday Digital Roundup
The Friday Digital Roundup is a witty take on the weird world of the internet. With fun stories from around the globe, it’s the only email newsletter you’ll actually read and enjoy!
We do love writing it, but clearly not as much as people like receiving it - just look at the response we got when a technical hitch meant it wasn’t sent out on time!

Coffee and the FDR is how I start my Friday.
Do not engage until I have devoured both
When it comes to the end of the week, there is no better way to start a Friday than with a run around the internet with Todd and Jo in the FDR. Just don't let them know I do it from the loo!
@Spaghetti_Jo

From Periscope Newbie To Airport Antics!
We’re constantly trying to help people ‘get’ social media with our Spaghetti social media workshops.
One of our new workshops is Periscope and Presenting for business.
Periscope is a brand new and exciting visual channel and we’re on a mission to point out that just the public speaking practice alone is worth the effort… the world wide audience is just a bonus!
One of the key takeaways from any of our workshops is that you need to go and do the things that we teach you. Too many workshops end up with loads of hot air and enthusiasm but little action… so we’re big on making sure people use the skills they learn with us.
Sometimes this works really well and some of our ‘students’ go on to make amazing things happen with social media.
I had a text this morning from a very excited Jo Payne from the Air Ambulance who wanted to put into practice all the ideas and inspiration we had given her yesterday.
Although she wasn’t the first to use Periscope (Vikie Shanks did her first one last night) Jo Payne had a crazy idea.
Tonight the Star Wars film gets released and for some reason Jo had some outfits in her car. Don’t ask!
So her crazy idea sent me to a helipad on the Air Ambulance base in Coventry and the rest… Well, the rest went on Periscope.
What a great idea – and there’s more to come, I’m sure!
Well done Jo. You’ve just set the bar quite high… So who’s next?
