Friday Digital Roundup
The Friday Digital Roundup is a witty take on the weird world of the internet. With fun stories from around the globe, it’s the only email newsletter you’ll actually read and enjoy!
We do love writing it, but clearly not as much as people like receiving it - just look at the response we got when a technical hitch meant it wasn’t sent out on time!

Coffee and the FDR is how I start my Friday.
Do not engage until I have devoured both
When it comes to the end of the week, there is no better way to start a Friday than with a run around the internet with Todd and Jo in the FDR. Just don't let them know I do it from the loo!

What’s the Best Type of Content for a Blog?
What’s the Best Type of Content for a Blog?
So many people ask me, “What’s the best type of content to put on the blog?” so I thought I’d create a little video for you to help with that topic.
Blogging helps to drive traffic to a website, so for now let’s talk about it from the perspective of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), to help you get found online.
Your website will have a home page, an about page, and a contact page, as well as some pages that really very rarely get changed.
Google is looking for up-to-date content.
People using Google are looking for answers.
The absolute best thing you can do is create content that answers and helps your ideal customer as it pleases both Google (for fresh content) and your ideal customers (by helping them).
To get those questions, simply ask your current customers…
Listen to your current customers and your current enquiries. What do they ask you all the time? Take that question and turn it into a search term!
Here’s where the magic happens…
Take that term and put it into Google and then scroll to the bottom and look at the auto-suggestions.
You’ll get around eight to ten auto-suggestions which are based on real-time searches on Google. People are asking these questions.
If you create content around that topic, especially if you use that search term in your title of your blog or on a video like this one below, you’ll attract the right type of people, and you’ll help Google to help its customers.
That’s the best type of content you can use for your blog for Search Engine Optimisation!
There are loads of other ways you can use a blog, and I’ll cover those in other videos. As always, if you have any questions or need help, just get in touch.
